Hey everyone. Since there's only a couple of other websites that have the Populous Full Download in their downloads section, I decided to upload it to mine. Now there are two things I'd like to address here:
1. This is not entirely legal, but Electronic Arts won't contact us back giving us an answer as to whether or not we can distribute Populous for free, so we're going to have to assume they don't care until they give us a response.
2. I didn't make this download. Bullfrog made the game (of course), but I'm not sure who put it all together in this handy little .exe file, so if you made it or you know who made it, contact me, and if you made it and don't want me to have it up on my site, tell me so I can take it off.
I believe there are two other mirrors to this download so I just wanted to go ahead and make a third one. Just remember that the download and everything in it was made by somebody else [not me].

Well, instead of adding the hotkeys page, I added a router help page instead. The hotkeys page will be coming, but not until later on.
The router help page is mainly for people who are having trouble with hosting, so if you fall into that category, go check it out, and if you know somebody who is having problems hosting, recommend that page to them.
You can find it in the navbar at the right.

Hey all. I know for a while now I've been lazy with the website updates but I'm going to try as hard as I can to get things updated.
I'm going to fix the images page so that when you click a link you'll see a description and a picture (and I'm going to add the pictures that a couple of people sent in to me). I'm also going to add more links to my links section because I realize there are websites that have me linked but I don't have them, but if you don't have me linked or I don't find your site, send me an email and I'll link you right up.
I'm also going to be adding an extra page so you won't have to see that annoying "Coming Soon" button anymore. This will be a page that lists all of the hotkeys in Populous and also tells what they do.
And last but not least, I'll be making an Ubers trick video because I've been getting people requesting it.

Alongside that, the new project I've started is still going on, so if you still want a position, click here. So far I've selected a programmer, someone to do palette files, someone to do sprites, and two other people who's jobs have not been decided on yet.

Well, as Christmas is coming up fast, The Dakini Hut's got a couple of [big] updates.
First of all, I've got a new website domain. It was donated to me by [TLL]dZeta, so thanks to him! The URL is www.thedakinihut.com, but I've yet to update pictures, banners, and links so it's not being advertised at the moment.
Second of all, I'd like to announce my final decision on Populous: Reversed: it's not real. I've been waiting for over a year for [GoD]Shao to upload it, and he's failed to do so after numerous times announcing it's release. I've also heard from two sources that Shao has admitted to making the program up, saying "ffs its just a joke."
I'd like to point out, however, that I had nothing to do with the creation of this program and was only to provide the web space and advertisement of it on my website. Please do not email me telling me that I'm a fake or a phony because it wasn't up to me. If you'd like to complain about it, sign up for an account with Populous: Reincarnated if you haven't done so yet and PM [GoD]Shao in the MatchMaker or on the forums.
Sorry to disappoint you all. I will, however, be looking for somebody who would like to help me create such a program. Remember Populous 4? We got extremely close to switching the blue and red tribes. So if you're interested, keep up with the site because I will eventually hold call-outs for two or three people to put a program like this together.

Sorry about the lack of updates on the site lately. I'm coding three other websites (the clan TDM's, the new Moron of the Year Award site layout, and a new clan's website), so that explains the lack of new updates. However, after I've got this sorted out, the Moron of the Year Award will once again launch in the Populous: Reincarnated community, so stay tuned for that update (and hopefully others).

I've finally got the new website template up. There may still be errors that I haven't fixed yet or things I haven't updated, and if you find something that falls under those two categories, feel free to send me an email. There should be a poll up here soon that will let you all vote on which layout you like better.
As for other website updates, there will be another one coming shortly (and here's a hint: it's not Populous: Reversed. Go bug [GoD]MVP).

You can now find the Populous WebBrowser, created by PopBot, in my download's section. This program is like a regular browser, although it has tabs that have the best Populous websites stored on them. There's also a search function and a chat feature, plus more!

Finally I've got the website's code totally rewritten and uploaded. It uses DIVs, CSS, and XHTML. Unfortunately there are still a few minor glitches with the site here and there are I'm still using a couple of tables, but it's a lot easier on me and it even looks a bit nicer.
As for other updates, I've uploaded some pictures [AsG]Radiance sent in to me and I've added a Quick Update box to the site. You'll see some other updates to the site as you browse the pages, but nothing incredibly major has come up with Populous.

Apparently after nine long years EA is once again interested in the Populous series. EA Japan has released information about Populous on the Nintendo DS:

"This year's Tokyo Game Show is just gearing up and we have our first bit of news from the event. Populous, the classic god game for the PC, is being brought to the Nintendo DS by EA Japan. This news was revealed at a pre-TGS event held by EA in Shibuya."
So unfortunately, it's Populous I not Populous III, but it's good news for us, because after nine long years, EA's finally showing some interest in Populous. Don't get too excited becuase my guess is after this, the Populous series ends, but the possibility of seeing a new Populous has at least increased.
So anyway, updates with the site. I've finished the XHTML / CSS coded index and all I have to do now is code the rest of the pages in the same fashion, which won't take near as long.
Not sure when Populous Reversed is coming, but let's hope it's soon!

Whelp, I felt pretty bad because I haven't updated in over a month. I don't have anything to show right now besides a fixed downloads page (for some reason all of the links had /downloads/ before them so they didn't work), but there should be some updates coming soon. Some of these include:
Populous Reversed
Yes, for about the 3rd time, Populous Reversed is planned to be released on this page (currently bugged). It's been delayed in the past, but it's uploaded right now and I'm just waiting for it's creator, Shao, to get the program's link from his friend. You should see it on the site sometime in the next two weeks at the most, and hopefully I won't have to let you down this time.
A newly-coded site
The layout will be the same, but the coding will be different (hopefully XHTML), and there may be a new "General Populous Updates" box that just tells about the different things going on in Populous.

People have been submitting me their Populous Pics, and once I update the code on the site I'll update the images page, too!

Hey everybody. Two new updates coming to the website. The first one is a cellphone content page. I have a few things up right now and I'll be adding more later. You can access it by clicking here, although it will be added to the navigation bar at the top sometime in the near future.
The second update is a new skin for the Populous: Reincarnated matchmaker. You should be seeing it on this page soon (if not now) under the name "The Dakini Hut." Once you see it, if you want it (trust me, it's pretty good), go ahead and download and install it. Then open up the matchmaker to view the new skin.
Well, that's all for this update!
Update: I've converted the ringtones from .WAV files to .mp3 files so that they're smaller and still sound great!

I don't know if you remember or not, but I talked about applying a new update a while back. It was supposed to look somewhat like the solar system in Populous, but as I finished creating it, it turned into this. I like this layout because it looks somewhat like the layout I made for Populous 4: The Dakini's Revenge .
